Andrés Jiménez Zorrilla

Chairman of the Board

Andrés has over 15 years of experience in Investment Banking and Private Equity working for Morgan Stanley and Aermont Capital. He started his own real estate investment business in 2018, and was responsible for €2bn+ of investments in Spain and Portugal.

He co-founded Shrimp Welfare Project in September 2021, and served as CEO until May 2024. He is also a board member of Ambitious Impact and Fish Welfare Initiative.

Krzysztof Wojtas

Chief Programmes Officer

PhD in Fish Welfare, with around 10 years of experience in aquatic animal welfare. Served as a researcher and assistant professor at Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. Coordinated the fish welfare working group at Eurogroup for Animals and led the aquatic animal welfare programme and expert team at Compassion in World Farming International.

Aaron Boddy

Chief Operations Officer

PhD in Artificial Intelligence from LJMU. 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the NHS. Collaborated with the Global Catastrophic Risk Institute on a survey of AGI Projects. Founded the startup Meeple Market in 2018. Incubatee in the 2021 Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Programme.

Lien-Huong Trinh

Corporate Engagement & Southeast Asia Coordinator

MA in Human Rights from Central European University. 10 years of experience with international non-profits and research institutes in Singapore, Hungary and Vietnam. Passionate about animal welfare, social justice, and arts.

Sri Rang K

India Program Coordinator

Previously a program coordinator at the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations (FIAPO). Has a background in advertising and has worked as a creative strategist for various trade shows and some Indian corporations. Sri Rang aims to minimise the suffering of animals as much as possible.

Robin Goist

Communications Lead

BA in Communications from John Carroll University. Over 10 years of experience in journalism, media relations, and advocacy. Covered politics, government affairs, and business news as a reporter at The Cleveland Plain Dealer. Led impactful PR campaigns for international animal advocacy nonprofits. Passionate about using storytelling to drive social change.

Shannon Davis

Research & Policy Lead

MA in Marine Conservation and Policy and 4 year’s experience in the aquaculture welfare space. Previously created a global animal welfare standard for farmed Atlantic salmon and spearheaded The Humane League’s fish welfare program. Passionate about pursuing equitable, sustainable welfare solutions for humans and aquatic animals.

Léa Guttmann

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer

Was a professional actress and singer. Started volunteering with animal advocacy organisations in 2019. Switched careers in 2021 to work as a Campaign Manager for World Day for the End of Speciesism and World Day for the End of Fishing. Started working at SWP in May 2022.

Satvik Kalapala

India Field Coordinator

Satvik has a master's degree in Fisheries Science (M.F.Sc) from the Kerala University of Fisheries & Ocean Studies. Previously, he coordinated the state-level APILIP-II Project, in Andhra Pradesh and has also worked at research institutes like the Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore, India, on Fish behavior, Breeding, Culture, Migration, Tagging, Ranching, etc. As his bonding with aquatic animals became more prominent, it motivated him to work for aquatic animals' welfare.

Over 20 years of Operations experience, BA in Sociology from University of Toronto, technology lover. Professional development in Animal Advocacy work and career coaching. Volunteer mentor with Magnify Mentoring since 2023. Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of animals.

Bachelor's degree of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Academy of Art University and over 11 years of experience in the field. As an effective altruism enthusiast, Francesca uses her skills to support causes and the missions of numerous non profits, from animal welfare to human rights.

Ethan Terrill

Communications

Ethan (he/him) holds an M.A. in philosophy and social policy from The George Washington University and currently serves as a Senior Associate at Global Impact, where he works to advance effective philanthropy through collaboration with nonprofit and corporate organizations, grants management, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving positive transformation. Ethan is particularly interested in moral circle expansion and has published on topics such as moral status and multi-dimensional sentience, bridging theoretical insights with practical impact.

Alex Vellins

Research

Alex works as the Director of Effective Altruism Oxford and holds a degree in mathematics and philosophy from Durham University. He is keen to explore shrimp sentience for his own cause prioritisation and is an aspiring charity entrepreneur.

Lilia Lisina

Operations

Is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Sociology at the University of Hamburg. Is passionate about farmed animal advocacy and has been involved with various organisations in the field since 2019.

Karina Benitez Lin

Communications

Psychologist with a master's degree in Environmental Health Sciences. Passionate about animal behavior, nature, and the bond between species. Worked for over five years in international animal advocacy NGOs in Mexico, specializing in campaigns, corporate relations, and research. Is excited to support the work to reduce the suffering of shrimps.

Daniela R. Waldhorn

Daniela R. Waldhorn is a Senior Research Manager at Rethink Priorities, where she researches farmed invertebrate welfare issues. She's also a Ph.D. researcher at the Department of Social Psychology at the University of Barcelona, a member of the Centre for Animal Ethics, and an Associate Professor at Pompeu Fabra University. Daniela worked previously in research and management for organizations like Animal Ethics, Animal Equality, and Sinergia Animal.

Douglas Waley

Douglas Waley is the Fish Welfare Programme Leader at Eurogroup for Animals. He leads political advocacy work at the EU level on the welfare of farmed and wild fish and aquatic invertebrates, and supports a working group of member animal advocacy organisations in their own projects and in collaborating together.

Pauline Vaskou

Pauline believes that business can be used as a force for good. She currently works as a Responsible Investment Specialist at Man Group. She previously worked in sustainability at Aegon UK, Bloomberg LP and Tesco PLC. She holds a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.

Tse Yip Fai

Tse Yip Fai holds a degree in Chemistry from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and one in Banking and Finance from the University of London. He is a 2021 Foresight Fellow in Animal Ethics For Artificial Intelligence. He was previously the China Strategy Consultant for Mercy For Animals, responsible for research and strategy for their expansion plans in China and Asia. Currently the Research Assistant for Prof. Peter Singer at Princeton University, Fai is researching the impact and ethics of artificial intelligence on nonhuman animals.
